Junior Division

Purpose

The purpose of the Holyoke Youth Girls Softball competition is to have fun, be able to participate, improve skills, learn good sportsmanship, develop a sense of responsibility and self-discipline, develop group loyalty, learn to compete within established rules, accept decisions of authorized officials, to seek interpretation or change through proper channels, and to develop sound mind and bodies.

The League

This league is the Junior division. It consists of girls from 3rd grade through 5th grade. 

*Girls who participate in H.G.Y.S.L. may not participate in any other softball league until the completion of the H.G.Y.S.L. season.

Senior  Division

Purpose

The League

This league is the Senior division. It consists of girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade players or having their 15th birthday after July 1st.  EXCEPTION:  Players who were involved in HYGSL and High School as a freshman and attempted to make the Freshman,  JV or V softball team and did not make the team may play in the Senior HYGSL Division another year
